Flying Easter Egg-Stravaganza
Children of all ages are invited to watch the Easter Bunny arrive
by helicopter at the Evergreen Aviation Museum.
MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – Families are invited to join the fun as the Evergreen Aviation Museum hosts the first annual Flying Easter Egg-Stravaganza event on Sat., April 3 at 10:30 a.m.. The event will include the arrival of the Easter Bunny via helicopter, an Easter egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny.
The celebration will begin as the Easter Bunny makes a grand entrance via helicopter. The arrival will be followed by three separate egg hunts for ages six and under, ages seven to ten, and ages eleven and over. All of the egg hunts will be outdoors behind the museum in the lawn and the Oak Grove. Participation is $2.00 per child and prizes will be available for all ages. Pre-registration is required for all Egg-Stravaganza participants. Parents must call 503-434-4023 to register their children prior to the event.
The Easter Bunny will also be available for photos from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. for $5.00 each.
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and regular admission is required. There is no charge for admission to the museum store or the newly remodeled Spruce Goose Café.

The Evergreen Aviation Museum is best known as the home of the world’s largest wooden airplane, the Spruce Goose and the SR-71 Blackbird. In addition, there are more than 50 historic aircraft and exhibits on display, along with aviation artwork and traveling displays. The Evergreen Aviation Museum’s hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily except when it is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. An extensive museum store and friendly café add to the Museum experience. The Museum is located at 500 NE Captain Michael King Smith Way, across the highway from the McMinnville Airport and about three miles southeast of McMinnville, Ore., on Highway 18.
