Cruise Fundraiser to Benefit the Museum

 

The public is invited to attend a free informational session

regarding the Mexican Cruise.

                                                                                      

            McMinnville, Ore. –Sat., May 6, 2006 at 6:00 p.m., the Evergreen Aviation Museum will be hosting Cruise Night, a free informational meeting at the Museum auditorium for those interesting in embarking on an eight day Mexican Riviera Cruise.  A percentage of proceeds from cabin purchases will benefit the non-profit Evergreen Aviation Museum. 

 

Leaving from San Diego on January 10, 2007, the Carnival Cruise Lines Fun Ship, Spirit, will make stops in Acapulco, Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa and Manzanillo.  Special on-board aviation activities and speakers will be sponsored by the Museum and will be announced in complete detail prior to October 7, 2006.  Each cabin purchased will earn $140 for the Museum, with $70 being tax deductible.  For more information or to book the cruise, contact the Special Events Department at 503-434-4023 or lynda.wiegan@sprucegoose.org

The Evergreen Aviation Museum is best known as the home of the worldÕs largest wooden airplane, the Spruce Goose, SR-71 Blackbird and Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat.  In addition, there are more than 80 historic aircraft and exhibits on display, along with artwork, traveling displays, the Spruce Goose Cafˇ and newly remodeled Rotors, Wings, and Things store.  The Evergreen Aviation MuseumÕs hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily except when it is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New YearÕs Day and Easter.
